Just wondering if anyone will be in Washington during what will no doubt be the busiest day in a long time. I have relatives in the area but we very carefully avoid talking about anything to do with politics

I was planning to go but didn't get any tickets.

I will be stayin' away as far as I can. Can ya imagine how congested it will be like, an' da price hotels will be chargin' if ya can still find any rooms left.

Surely there will be gatherings for people who didn't get tickets to the official events. Even if it's just at a bar to drown your sorrows (for Republicans).

There have to be, otherwise most people wouldn't have tickets...

Wow, did you see how many people would in DC watching the inauguration? There must have been millions there.

I can't even remember if anyone showed up to watch Bush 8 years ago.

Probably a handful of friends and family and protester who think Bush stole the presidency from Gore.

I'm hearing it more and more. Beyone was talking about how she had never bothered to watch the festivities before today.

She's probably not the only one who didn't bother until now.

I hear the crowd was about 5 times as large as the one for Bush's inauguration.

I heard there was like 1.5 million people. Now that's a lot of people.

I've heard some people say it was around 2 million people standing there now...

WOW that's a heck of a lot of people watching history in the making.

I wish I could have been there... It would have been something I could have told my kids...
