I am thinking of visiting Taiwan this year, most likely Taipei and Kaohsiung. Thinking if I should go in the summer or winter? Has anyone ever visited this country before? What time of the year did you go and any tips on the places to go?

I hear Taiwan gets real hot this time of the year. I know I would not be able to stand the heat everyday unless I am indoors with the air conditioner crank up all the way.

Taiwan sounds like a lot of fun, I have quite a few Taiwanese friends who say they travel back every few years.
