The longest I've driven on my own was from Michigan to Vermont. I took a shortcut through Canada and the total duration of the trip was about 12 hours, non-stop. Before that, I helped a friend get to Nashville, TN, again from MI. The trip took about 8 hours.

The longest trip of all though was from Michigan to Mississippi. My dad drove the entire distance by himself; I didn't have a driver's license at the time.

Think my longest road trip was from Philly to South Beach. Forgot how long it took but it seems like a long time.

When I was six we drove from New York to Montana; I don't remember much from the trip but I do remember the mesas.

My longest road trip I would have to say was from Portland, Maine to Seattle, WA.

I went through greyhound, where they lost my duffel bag in Chicago, got nearly arrested there because the idiots wouldn't address the concern, just tried blowing me off.

I forget how long it took, I think it was something like 4, 5 days, which was an express, but I absolutely hated that trip.

A friend of mine wants to take an RV across the US, but I'm not sure if we'll go, it's a bit too costly...

Costly, and bumpy! I would rather take a car and a tent.

I bet taking an RV across country would be expensive.

Especially with high gas prices.
