 $10 Airline Tickets
Just seen a report on TV about $10 tickets offer by Skybus. All their flights go through their hub at Columbus, OH. The $10 tickets are limited to only 10 seats and the remaining seats are usually 50% of what other airlines charge. Once your on the plane expect to pay for everything, such as the following:
$2 for soda or water
$4 for energy drinks
$10 for a sandwich
$5 to check a bag
$50 a bag after the first two bags
$40 to make a ticketing change
$10 to jump to the head of the line
Thinking you can bring your own food and drink? HAHA, think again your not allow.
Want to watch a movie on your flight? Better bring your own.
Need a number to call customer service? There's none, everything has to be done on their website.
Who would take the deal and book a ticket?

I have seen this and been to their website to book a flight, but all of the $10 seats were booked up. A major problem with this is that you have to travel to Columbus, OH before you can get to another destination. Hopefully, they would add more direct flights so you won't have to make a detour to Columbus.

 Re: $10 Airline Tickets
There will probably be more discount airlines popping up (if they can get financing) now that fuel prices have came back down to Earth.

 Re: $10 Airline Tickets
Sad thing is that even with cheaper gas prices, ticket prices haven't come down at all...

 Re: $10 Airline Tickets
They are probably keeping the prices up to make up for all the money they have lost already or because of the high oil contracts they have signed thinking the prices would continue to increase.

I don't think they'll ever get it back. There are more FAA regulations coming and most of the planes out there need repair...

About a month, I was flying from Houston to Philadelphia, and the plane was rerouted to Cincinnati because of mechanical problems. I wouldn't mind paying extra for better maintained airplanes

A lot of planes out there are older. Virgin seems to have brand new planes though.

Leather seats with outlets on the bottom for the laptop, a TV screen in front of you, lights that changes colors, and food that can be order on screen and paid with a credit card. I would fly with them again.

Nicely colored planes with newer brighter colors. Southwest is like old brown and white...
